Southeast Bulloch is a Georgia Advanced Placement Honor School for 2023

Southeast Bulloch High School is one of 273 high schools named by State School Superintendent Richard Woods on Feb. 15, as an Advanced Placement Honor School for 2023.

Schools from 97 districts in the state were honored in eight categories based on the results of Advanced Placement courses and exams taken during the 2021-2022 school year. Southeast Bulloch received honors as an Advanced Placement Expansion School for achieving at least a 25% growth in the number of students who participated in courses between May 2021 to May 2022 and had a minimum of 25 students take Advanced Placement exams in May 2020.

Advanced Placement exams are administered by the College Board, which also administers the SAT. AP courses are one of several ways Georgia students can access college-level learning at the high school level; students who receive a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam may receive college credit for the course, thus reducing the number of core classes they have to take at the collegiate level.
