Kennedy Launches Campaign for Lieutenant Governor

Another Georgia State Senator has thrown his hat into the ring in the race for Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor.

State Senator John F. Kennedy officially launched his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia Monday morning. Kennedy said in his announcement that he’s a “conservative leader and lifelong Georgian raised on small-town values, who is committed to fighting for Georgia families and ensuring the state’s best days are ahead.”

Kennedy joins Senators Steve Gooch and Josh McLaurin in the 2026 contest.

“My first priority has always been to put hardworking Georgians first, and that’s what I will continue to do as Georgia’s next Lieutenant Governor,” said Senator John F. Kennedy. “I’ve never shied away from tough fights in the state legislature, and this campaign will be no different. Georgians can be confident that my leadership will be focused on delivering conservative results, not empty rhetoric – and I know that by working together, we will keep Georgia Growing, keep Georgia Learning, and keep Georgia Safe.”

John F. Kennedy’s Vision for Georgia’s Future
Keep Georgia Growing

Georgia is the top state for business and the best place to live, work, and raise a family, thanks to the character and innovation of our people, and generations of conservative leaders who have guided our state wisely through the good times and the bad.

As your next Lt. Governor, John will work hard every day to ensure Georgia keeps moving forward and greater opportunity reaches all corners of our state.

Keep Georgia Learning

As a state senator, John is proud to have sponsored and supported legislation that puts our students first and ensures parents have a voice in their child’s education, while also expanding choice and opportunity in education for more Georgia families.

State leaders have no greater responsibility than the future of our children. There’s no question that starts in our classrooms—which must be focused on educating students to find a rewarding career, not indoctrinating them with radical political ideologies. John will always ensure our teachers are able to teach, our kids are able to learn, and our parents are able to support them both.

Keep Georgia Safe

Under Governor Kemp’s leadership, Georgia has taken huge strides in protecting our communities, holding criminals accountable, and making our streets safer. Continuing that progress starts with supporting our men and women in law enforcement—not catering to far-left partisans who want to demonize those who wear the uniform.

State government has no higher duty than to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens. As your Lt. Governor, you can rest assured John will take that responsibility seriously by strengthening our laws and allocating your tax dollars wisely to keep you and your family safe.
