The Ogeechee Technical College Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Statesboro High School Class of 1965 Endowed Scholarship with a gift totaling $28,746. The scholarship was created by members of the Statesboro High School Class of 1965 in celebration of their 60th class reunion.
The gift will provide annual scholarship support for graduates of Statesboro High School who enroll at Ogeechee Tech to pursue careers in skilled trades and technical fields. The scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $1,065, honoring the Class of 1965.
“We are grateful to the Statesboro High School Class of 1965 for their generosity and commitment to supporting the next generation of skilled professionals in our community,” said Larry Mays, Vice President for College Advancement at OTC. “This endowed scholarship reflects the class’s lasting legacy and their belief in the value of technical education to prepare students for meaningful, in-demand careers.”
Recipients of the Statesboro High School Class of 1965 Endowed Scholarship must be graduates of Statesboro High School and students in good standing at OTC. First preference will be given to current-year graduates, followed by recent graduates. Preference will also be given to students demonstrating financial need who are pursuing programs such as Electrical and Industrial Systems Technology, Automotive Technology, Air Conditioning Technology, Welding and Joining Technology, or other related programs approved by the donor.
