Georgia Southern Athletics has unveiled its 2026 football promotional schedule, featuring a dynamic lineup of themed game days designed to celebrate Eagle traditions, honor the community, and elevate the fan experience at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
The six-game home slate is highlighted by a blend of fan-favorite traditions and meaningful tributes, including Erk 100, an upcoming campaign celebrating and honoring legendary head coach Erk Russell, who would have turned 100 this year.
The season opens at home on Sept. 5 against Charleston Southern with Little Eagles Day and Teacher Appreciation. The day will spotlight the next generation of Eagle fans with youth-focused experiences, while also recognizing educators from across the region through special acknowledgments and in-game features celebrating their impact.
Georgia Southern returns home on Sept. 26 to host Houston for Hall of Fame Day and Celebrate Agriculture Day. The Hall of Fame ceremony will honor former student-athletes, coaches, and contributors who have made a lasting impact on Eagle Athletics. At the same time, Celebrate Agriculture Day will recognize the University’s deep-rooted connection to the agricultural industry and the region it serves.
October brings two highly anticipated home contests starting on Oct. 10 against James Madison with Family Weekend and Tackling for a Cure. Family Weekend will welcome the parents of many of the university’s students to Statesboro with a full weekend of campus-wide activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere and an opportunity for families to experience game day together.
In tandem, Tackling for a Cure will serve as a powerful platform to raise awareness in the fight against cancer. The game will feature special recognitions and opportunities for fans to honor loved ones.
