STATESBORO, Georgia: Keinth Moreno Guzman has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to Rape, Aggravated Child Molestation, Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree. The sentence was imposed by Ogeechee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Ronald K. Thompson and announced by District Attorney Catherine A. Sumner.
The State, represented by Assistant District Attorneys Renorda Herring and Jillian Gibson, presented evidence showing that on January 11, 2026, the defendant unlawfully entered the home of the eleven-year-old victim and sexually assaulted her in the bedroom she shared with her sister.
The defendant must serve a mandatory minimum of 30 years in the Georgia Department of Corrections before being considered for parole. If granted parole, he will be subject to an immigration detainer and transferred to federal custody for deportation proceedings.
In a written statement, the District Attorney’s Office noted: “Cases involving the sexual abuse of children are among the most horrific and heartbreaking that law enforcement encounters. We express our sincerest sympathies to the victim and her family for the inexplicable evil they endured at the hands of this defendant, as well as our deep gratitude to the victim for her courage in coming forward. We also commend the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office and Investigator Kodi Wallis for their diligent, resolute efforts in securing this conviction.
