City of Brooklet Urges 7:00 P.M. Porch Light Cutoff for Halloween Trick-Or-Treaters

The City of Brooklet and the Brooklet Police Department are encouraging families to begin wrapping up their Halloween trick-or-treating activities by 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, ahead of the city’s designated 7:00 p.m. end time.

According to a Halloween announcement shared by the city and the police department, trick-or-treating hours in Brooklet are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The city urged residents to turn off their porch lights around 7:00 p.m. to signal that trick-or-treating has concluded.

Days earlier, the county sheriff urged residents to end trick-or-treating around 9:00 p.m.

The department also shared several Halloween safety reminders, including encouraging children to wear bright or reflective clothing, urging parents to accompany younger children and inspect candy, and reminding pedestrians to use sidewalks and crosswalks. Motorists are urged to slow down and remain alert for children and families walking through neighborhoods, particularly after dark.
