On 04/05/2026 at approximately 1051 hours, I observed two motorcycles traveling westbound on Interstate 16 near MM 120 operating recklessly by weaving through moderate to heavy traffic, following too closely, failing to signal, and accelerating in excess of 100 MPH; radar confirmed 113 MPH near MM 120. A traffic stop was conducted near MM 117 on a 2005 Suzuki GSX1300 (GA tag YKI363) operated by Richard Crowe, who stated, “I didn’t mean to go that fast,” and was placed under arrest for speeding (113/70), reckless driving, no insurance, expired registration, and lane violations; the second operator (William Owen) failed to remain on scene, and a BOLO was issued. The motorcycle was later located at the Chevron via LPR confirmation by assisting units, and Owen was taken into custody; both subjects were transported to BCSO Jail without incident and turned over to staff.
