Portal Man Charged with Child Molestation, Sexual Battery

A Portal man is facing charges for acts the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office says he committed against a child.

69-year-old Charles Richard Woods was arrested by the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Child Molestation and two counts of Sexual Battery for a person under the age of sixteen. Both charges are felony offenses.

According to jail records, Woods turned himself into the Bulloch County Jail on February 19. As of Friday morning, Woods was still in the jail and no bond had been set.
