A Richmond Hill man has been charged with Arson and a host of other charges following a fire at a home in Bryan County.
According to criminal arrest warrants, Jeffrey Brian Enfinger was arrested by the Richmond Hill Police Department. Warrants state that Enfinger knowingly damaged a house located on Egret Circle in Richmond Hill by means of fire back on June 25, 2025. Reportedly, Enfinger set a fire in the attic of the occupied single-family dwelling using an open flame and set fire to a mattress in the primary bedroom. The documents state that Enfinger’s wife and two juvenile children were in the home at the time.
“The investigation revealed that the Accused was the only person in the attic, and no competent heat sources were located within the fire’s area of origin,” the warrants state.
Enfinger is also facing three counts of Aggravated Assault (Family Violence) due to the fire placing the lives of the three individuals in danger.
Court records show that bond was denied for Enfinger at his First Appearance hearing before a Magistrate Judge. He has remained behind bars since his arrest a little more than a month ago.
Enfinger is represented by the Public Defender’s Office for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit and is expected to appear in court next week before Judge Robert Russell.
