The decision followed a closed executive session and a unanimous vote by Board members. The decision will take effect May 31, 2025.

The move by the Board follows a damning audit by the Georgia Department of Audits & Accounts which highlighted a number of problems in the central office, to include spending practices, a lack of internal controls, and problematic bidding policies.
