Waters Voted in as Evans Superintendent

Tuesday the Evans County Board of Education unanimously voted to approve Dr. Martin Waters as the superintendent for the school district through June 30, 2017.

The decision was made after an hour long deliberation in executive session and announced just after the adjournment of the session.

Waters said of the appointment, “I’m excited to be here and look forward to building a collaborative environment with the administration, the staff, and the community to build the best educational system we can.”

Board member Tarrie Powell said after the meeting, “I am excited about the direction Dr. Waters is going to take this school system forward.”
