This is a press release from Ogeechee Technical College.
Ogeechee Technical College’s (OTC) Teachers in Training (TNT) student organization recently completed its “Spread Kindness” donation drive, benefiting children served by the Safe Haven Domestic Violence Shelter. The campaign, which concluded November 13, invited the campus community to donate new and unused personal care items for children in need.
The effort was coordinated by Paula Clifton, Early Childhood Care & Education instructor and advisor to the TNT club, included donations included essential toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothpaste, as well as grooming items like hairbrushes and lotion. The drive also collected undergarments and socks for boys and girls of all ages.
“We were thrilled to see such generous support from our students and faculty for Safe Haven,” said Paula Clifton, OTC Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor. “These donations will directly benefit children and families in our community by providing desperately needed personal care items. It truly takes a village.”
This initiative exemplifies Ogeechee Tech’s ongoing commitment to service learning and community involvement. By coming together, students, faculty, and staff helped provide comfort and dignity to children experiencing crisis situations.
