At the request of the Candler County Sheriff’s Office, GBI agents are investigating a shooting in Metter, GA.
Preliminary information indicates on March 6, 2025, at about 11:45 p.m., the Candler County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Creekside Way in Metter, GA to reports of a home invasion.
Law enforcement officers arrived on the scene and found two people with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital and are being treated for their injuries. They are both listed in stable condition.

Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
