Statesboro Man Arrested for Incident Involving a 13-Year-Old Child

A Statesboro man is behind bars after he was arrested on felony charges stemming from an incident involving a child.

30-year-old Jesus Moncada is charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes and Child Molestation for an incident that allegedly occurred on August 8, 2025 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

According to warrants, Moncada took a thirteen-year-old child into his home at Chances Mobile Home Park on Kyle Sorrell Road where he assaulted the child. The warrants state the child was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Investigators with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office presented warrants for Moncada to a magistrate judge on August 12 and he was arrested two days later.

Moncada is being held at the Bulloch County Jail and must appear before a superior court judge before bond can be considered.

Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes is a felony offense and carries a sentence of ten to thirty years in prison, if convicted.
Child Molestation is also a felony and carries a sentence of up to five to twenty years in prison. Both would require registration on the Sex Offender Registry.
