The Statesboro Police Department has made a second arrest regarding the shooting incident that occurred in Groover Homes on April 23, 2026.
A 16-year-old male, the second suspect wanted in connection with the shooting, was taken into custody Monday. He is currently being held by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. To comply with privacy laws regarding minors, the identities of all juveniles involved are being withheld.
The victim of the shooting remains under medical treatment at Memorial Health.
