Georgia Southern Athletics is expanding its digital storytelling efforts with the launch of the Hail Southern Podcast Series, an overarching podcast platform designed to bring Eagle Nation closer to the coaches, student-athletes, staff, alumni and personalities who make Georgia Southern Athletics special.
Hosted by Adam Young, Voice of the Eagles, the Hail Southern Podcast Series will feature a variety of original programs throughout the year, providing fans with an inside look at Georgia Southern’s athletic programs through interviews, behind-the-scenes conversations, game highlights and more.
“Hail Southern is another way for us to bring Eagle Nation closer to the people and stories that make Georgia Southern Athletics so special,” Young said. “We want to give our fans more access, more voices and more opportunities to connect with our coaches, student-athletes, alumni and staff, and this series allows us to do that throughout the entire year.”
Fans can listen to the Hail Southern Podcast Series on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart, GSEagles.com and through the Georgia Southern Sports Network’s Facebook, X and Instagram platforms.
The lineup will include:
- Eagle Hour
- A bi-weekly podcast running throughout the year, Eagle Hour will feature conversations with coaches, student-athletes, staff members, alumni and others connected to Georgia Southern Athletics. The series will provide an ongoing look at the people and stories behind the Eagles.
- Georgia Southern Men’s Basketball All-Access
- Running weekly throughout the men’s basketball season, Georgia Southern Men’s Basketball All-Access will feature interviews with head coach Charlie Henry, members of his coaching staff and Eagle basketball student-athletes.
- Georgia Southern Baseball All-Access
- During the baseball season, Georgia Southern Baseball All-Access will provide weekly access to head coach Rodney Hennon, his staff and Eagle baseball student-athletes.
- Eagle Check In
- Eagle Check In will feature quick, interview-based conversations with individuals throughout the Georgia Southern Athletics family, offering fans an opportunity to hear from a variety of voices and get an inside look at what’s happening around Eagle Athletics each week.
- Hail Southern Live! Show Replay
- Fans who can’t catch the weekly Hail Southern Live! Coaches Show at Wild Wing Cafe will have another opportunity to hear the program. Full audio replays of the weekly show will be added to the Hail Southern Podcast Series each Monday night following the live broadcast.
- Audio Highlights
- The Hail Southern Podcast Series will also feature audio highlights from Georgia Southern football, men’s basketball and baseball games, giving fans another way to experience the biggest moments from Eagle competition.
