Roberts Named EGRMC January Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Angela Roberts, Pharmacy Technician Lead, for being named EGRMC’s Employee of the Month! Angela has been employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center since 2007.

“Angela is a leader we all depend on in the Pharmacy Department,” stated Burke Basquin, B.S., PharmD, Director of Pharmacy at EGRMC. “Myself as the Director, the staff pharmacists, and the technicians all look to her for support and guidance. She fulfills the roles of departmental purchaser, scheduler, quality control, charge reconciler, as well as staff technician. Her hard work and dedication sets the tone for other technicians in the department. Angela does her part and then steps in alongside others to help. Although her persona may seem stoic to some, her laughter and smile when sharing stories with coworkers are contagious. Angela’s strong work ethic, humble attitude, and commitment to her coworkers helps make our department stronger.”

“Angela’s sense of ownership goes hand-in-hand with her commitment to her coworkers,” Basquin continued. “Angela’s ownership of her responsibilities and her dependability has placed her at the center of our technician team. She follows through on critical tasks. She steps up in a pinch and fills in the gap, in a way the whole department depends on. We don’t acknowledge it enough, but everyone in the department knows Angela can be counted on to do any task – no matter how big or small – with excellence. Her sense of ownership shows in the quality of her work. Other departments and clinics also depend on Angela for their medication orders and have often vocalized their appreciation of her timely deliveries since taking over as Lead Technician. Angela is self-directed, and having someone with this quality is invaluable in her role. I am personally thankful to have her as a trusted member of the Pharmacy Team.”

We congratulate Angela on being named Employee of the Month. The words ‘committed’, ‘sense of ownership’, and ‘dependability’ all ring true when describing Angela’s work ethic. Thank you, Angela, for all that you do for our hospital and for your coworkers at East Georgia Regional Medical Center!
