The Statesboro Family YMCA will host a monthly Community Yard Sale and Craft Fair on the first Saturday of the month beginning in October through December. The first monthly event will be held on Saturday, October 2nd from 7:00 am – 11:00 am. Sale of spaces will benefit the Statesboro Family YMCA Annual Campaign. This event will take place at the Statesboro Family YMCA located at 409 Clairborne Ave and admission is free for those looking for treasures.
The Y invites sellers to purchase an 8×8’ space for $30 or two spaces for $55. The first 10 people to register for each monthly event will receive a complimentary table and 2 chairs on the day of the event for their booth. This event is open to any community members interested in seling items from their attic or garage, or to creatives who would like to sell their homemade goods & crafts.
“We had a great turnout from our inaugural Community Yard Sale back in May, and we had an overwhelming response of community members asking for us to offer a monthly event,” shares Dorsey Baldwin, Statesboro Family YMCA Branch Director. “Funds raised will remain local and benefit our Statesboro neighbors by providing financial assistance to individuals and families within our community.
The Statesboro Family YMCA will be open for regular business during this event. Those interested in purchasing a table can contact the Statesboro Family YMCA at (912) 225-1962 or reserve a space online at www.ymcaofcoastalga.org/yardsale. Payment for yard sale spaces must be received at the time of reservation to ensure the spot is held.
Setup for sellers will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2nd.
Prohibited sale items include animals, firearms or ammunition, alcohol-/drug-related items, or smoking materials. This event is carry-in/carry-out. Any vendor who has unsold items, including trash, it must be removed by 12 p.m. on October 2. Dumpsters will not be available for trashing unsold items.
