WJMS Student Wins 6th Grade Young Authors Award

Twelve students have been selected as Bulloch County Schools’ grade-level Young Georgia Authors winners and will now advance to region competition. Among those winners is 6th grade William James Middle School Student Rylee Mackiewicz!

The school district received 65 entries this year from across each of the system’s 15 schools.

School district educators judged the local level competition. Students are not given a writing prompt, so judges evaluate entries based on expression of ideas, language use, perspective and voice.

Check back soon, as we’ll be covering winners from other schools, too!
