On 07/10/2026, I, Deputy Brooks, responded to 49 Cedar Acres Road in reference to a civil issue involving the property manager and the residents at this address.

On July 11, 2026, I responded to 115 Olliff Hill Rd. regarding a structure fire. Upon my arrival, I observed a work shed in the rear of the property completely engulfed in flames. I spoke with the occupant of the property, Mr. Chad Olliff, who stated that he had just been out there and had a battery charger going. He believed the fire was caused by the battery charger. Bulloch Fire arrived, and the scene was turned over to them. The shed and other miscellaneous items were a complete loss. There were no reported injuries. Nothing follows.

On July 11th, 2026, at approximately 0035 hours, I responded to a vehicle accident on Westside Road. Upon my arrival, I observed a vehicle (GA Tag: SNI7445) in the roadway near a deer that was in the ditch. During the brief investigation, the apparently intoxicated driver, Andrew Brinson, left the scene on foot. Deputies later located Brinson in the area and he was arrested for the listed offenses. The accident was turned over to Georgia State Patrol, and the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

On 07/11/2026, I, Deputy Brooks, responded to 22917 E Highway 80 in reference to a vehicle versus building collision with no reported injuries. During my investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver agreed to participate in the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests but refused to provide a preliminary breath sample (PBT). The driver also refused to submit to a blood draw. During the investigation, the driver made multiple statements admitting that he was driving under the influence. Based on the totality of the circumstances, he was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence.

ON JULY 11, 2026, I RESPONDED TO 1655 GROOVER OLD MILL RD REGARDING A CIVIL MATTER. UPON ARRIVAL, I MADE CONTACT WITH THE COMPLAINANT, MR. RICHARD BATEMAN. MR. BATEMAN ADVISED THAT HIS FATHER-IN-LAW, MR. WILLIAM RICHARDS, WAS CURRENTLY IN FLORIDA SEEKING TREATMENT FROM A VA OUTPATIENT SERVICE. MR. RICHARDS HAD CONTACTED MR. BATEMAN IN ORDER TO HAVE HIM MOVE SOME OF HIS POSSESSIONS INTO A STORAGE UNIT AS HIS WIFE, MS. RENEE RICHARDS, HAD BEEN SELLING HIS ITEMS WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION. MR. BATEMAN STATED THAT MR. RICHARDS INTENDED TO FILE FOR DIVORCE FROM MS. RICHARDS UPON HIS RETURN FROM FLORIDA, AND DIDN'T WANT ALL OF HIS POSSESSIONS SOLD OFF PRIOR TO HIS RETURN. I THEN SPOKE TO MS. RICHARDS WHO AGREED TO ALLOW MR. BATEMAN TO MOVE ITEMS FROM THE HOME. THIS REPORT WAS TAKEN AS DOCUMENTATION OF THE EVENT. NOTHING FOLLOWS.

On July 13th, 2026, at approximately 0027 hours, while on patrol in the area of Highway 301 South in Statesboro, I conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle (GA Tag: SFJ8144) after a registration check revealed the registered owner, Jose Palomares, had a suspended driver's license. After a brief investigation, Jose Palomares was placed under arrest without incident and received a citation for the listed offense. His vehicle was released to Charles Mock and driven from the scene.
