On 06/29/2026, at approximately 0036 hours, deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Sinkhole Road. The driver, Anthony Roberts, admitted to consuming alcohol, displayed multiple signs of impairment, and refused both field sobriety tests and the requested state-administered blood test. Roberts was cited for DUI Less Safe (Alcohol), Too Fast for Conditions, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Seatbelt Violation before being released to EMS due to his injuries. Returned to patrol.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTYUNASSIGNED On June 29, 2026, Captain Marcus Nesmith spoke with David Cromley in refernce to damage to property. Mr. Cromley stated that while at Walmart, someone hit his 2026 GMC Sierra while he was in the store. Mr. Cromley stated the damage to his truck was located on the rear bumper on the drivers side. Furthermore, Mr. Cromley stated the vehicle was new and had no damage before he parked at Walmart. At the time of this report, it is unknown who caused the damage to Mr. Cromley's vehicle. A report has been completed for documentation and insurance purposes.
In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots. The law also barred law enforcement agencies from releasing mug shots to sites that charge a fee. As a result of the changes, a photo may be removed in some instances.
