AFTER A BRIEF INVESTIGATION A REPORT WAS COMPLETED.

Narrative

On 05/26/2026, I, Deputy Brooks, took a phone report in reference to a lost or mislaid vehicle tag belonging to Samuel Crocker. Upon contact, I spoke with Mr. Crocker, who explained that last Wednesday he took his bike for a ride and his tire blew out, causing him to stop and examine the bike. At that time, he realized his tag was missing. Mr. Crocker did not have a clear timeframe for when he last saw the tag and only had a picture of it that was taken on April 26, 2026. Mr. Crocker took the bike to a mechanic to repair the damage and made plans to go to the Tax Office to obtain a replacement tag. Vehicle tag: Georgia ZQQ609. Mr. Crocker was given a CRN and informed of when he could pick up a copy of the report. Nothing further.

THEFT BY TAKING - FIREARM16-8-2(6)(A) On Tuesday, 5/26/26, at approximately 1204 hours, I was dispatched to 602 Choctaw Hunt in Statesboro in reference to a theft by taking.

In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots. The law also barred law enforcement agencies from releasing mug shots to sites that charge a fee. As a result of the changes, a photo may be removed in some instances.
