Narrative

On 05/01/2026 at approximately 1319 hours, I observed a vehicle traveling 90 MPH in a 70 MPH zone on Interstate 16, confirmed by radar, and initiated a traffic stop. Upon contact, the driver displayed signs of impairment, admitted to recent marijuana use, and performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests; a strong odor of marijuana and alcoholic beverage was present. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI, refused implied consent, and was transported to BCSO without incident; a search of the vehicle revealed suspected marijuana and alcoholic beverages.

A Ring camera snapshot showed two unknown individuals arriving in a dark-colored sedan at approximately 0417 hours; both vehicles, which were left unlocked with keys inside, were taken and fled in an unknown direction. Both vehicles and two firearms inside one vehicle were entered as stolen, and the investigation is ongoing.

HIT AND RUN; DUTY OF DRIVER TO STOP AT OR40-6-270 DAMAGE TO PROPERTYUNASSIGNED On 05/03/2026, I, Deputy Brooks, responded to 105 Broadmoor Court in reference to a damage-to-property report. The damage consisted of a concrete pylon that was run over by a vehicle and ripped from the ground. Additionally, the front yard showed tire tracks, which caused damage to that area. The individual(s) involved did not stop and left the scene without providing information to the homeowner or notifying law enforcement. The damage was discovered by a neighbor, who then informed the resident.

On 05/03/2026 at approximately 1315 hours, deputies responded to Broadmoor Court where video showed two individuals exiting a suspicious SUV consistent with a stolen vehicle and attempting to access a locked vehicle. One subject checked the door handle but did not gain entry, and no damage was observed before fleeing the scene. The incident is consistent with a nearby motor vehicle theft, and the investigation is ongoing.

Narrative

On 05/03/2026 at approximately 1350 hours, additional residents on Broadmoor Court reported attempted entry to a secured 2023 Ford F-150, with witnesses observing two individuals checking door handles. A vehicle consistent with a stolen Lincoln Navigator was observed in the area during the same timeframe. The activity is consistent with the earlier vehicle theft, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Narrative

On May 3rd, 2026 at approximately 3:21pm, I responded to the BP Gas Station at the listed location to speak with owner Vinod Jetwani in reference to a theft. Jetwani stated that Marissa Mallicote got off the Greyhound bus and entered the store, taking several items without paying in the process. Jetwani allowed Mallicote to return to the store and pay the balance remaining for the stolen items. Mallicote was only given a verbal trespass warning at the request of Jetwani.

In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots. The law also barred law enforcement agencies from releasing mug shots to sites that charge a fee. As a result of the changes, a photo may be removed in some instances.
