On 09/02/2026 at approximately 1830 hours, deputies responded to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office lobby in reference to an attempted financial fraud after Melanie and Theodore Glisson received a call from an individual claiming to be a Truist Bank employee and instructing them to withdraw $25,500 and give the money to an alleged undercover FBI agent. The Glissons recognized the call as a scam, reported the incident to Truist Bank and the Sheriff's Office, and no money or property was lost.

On September 4th, 2026, I, Cpl. Edwards, responded to the area of Shuman Road and R L Lee Ext in reference to a suspicious person and possible property damage to a vehicle.

In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots.
