Deputies, State Patrol Pursue Driver Who Fled During Traffic Stop

A Bulloch County sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop on Highway 46 early Friday afternoon, but the situation escalated when the driver fled the scene, authorities said

According to the Sheriff’s Office, after initially providing his information, the driver sped away, leading deputies and the Georgia State Patrol on a pursuit. The chase continued until the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed near the intersection of Highway 67 and Anderson Cemetery Road.

Officials said the driver, identified as Breyon Williams, then ran from the crash site on foot. He was last seen wearing a light-colored hoodie and a ball cap.

Deputies and troopers searched the area Friday afternoon. Anyone with information about the incident or Williams’ location is asked to contact the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office at 912-764-8888 and request to speak with the dispatcher.
