The Statesboro Police Department has released additional information on a Thursday shooting at the Days Inn in Statesboro.
The agency says it was dispatched to on February 29 at 8:38 p.m to the Days Inn on Fair Road in Statesboro.
Management had performed a welfare check on the occupants of a room and located two males shot ins ide.
Officers arrived and determined that both males were deceased.
The identities of the decedents are being withheld at this time pending a formal identification by the GBI’s Coastal Regional Crime Lab.
Detectives worked throughout the night processing the scene and working leads.
Evidence suggests that the decedents knew their killer or killers and that the event was not random.
