Community event benefits families in a fun and safe community event
The Statesboro Family YMCA invites kids and families of all ages to its Annual Trunk or Treat Festival on Saturday, October 24th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at 409 Clairborne Avenue. Local businesses and organizations will host decorated trunks to hand out candy, prizes, and goodies in a fun, safe environment. Costumes are encouraged on the Statesboro Family YMCA’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Designed as a safe community alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating, the event brings together hundreds of local families. “I love this event—it is so great to see all of the amazing families and the smile on the kids’ faces,” said Hannah Beggs, Executive Director. “Last year we welcomed over 1,200 participants, and I am looking forward to another incredible evening of community support and family fun”.
VENDOR & ORGANIZATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Local businesses, civic groups, and community organizations looking to promote their business or organization, give out candy and/or promotional prizes, and connect with local families are invited to host a trunk. It is FREE to be a vendor!
Participating vendors will receive a designated space to decorate their vehicle and engage directly with attendees. Vendors are asked to bring candy/prizes and arrive starting at 1:30 PM (and no later than 3:00 PM) for setup. The business or organization with the best-decorated trunk will win a FREE 1-Month YMCA Membership!
CANDY DONATIONS:
The Statesboro Family YMCA is currently accepting donations of individually wrapped/pre-packaged candy. Donated bags can be dropped off at the YMCA Welcome Center at 409 Clairborne Ave during normal operating hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM or Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
