The City of Statesboro invites the community to historic downtown Statesboro on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. as The Tams take the Downtown Live stage. With only two shows left in the series, community members are encouraged to join in on the fun before the season ends.
On June 11, The Tams will return to downtown Statesboro with their legendary blend of beach music and classic soul. From “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy” to other timeless favorites, The Tams continue to bring generations together on the dance floor.
The series will conclude June 25 with another Downtown Live Concert Series veteran, Papa Sol. Known for an electrifying mix of pop, soul, funk, reggae, beach music, and rock ‘n’ roll, Papa Sol delivers a high-energy performance with three lead vocalists, creating a rich, full sound that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes and lawn chairs to downtown Statesboro this summer. Admission to the concerts is free and open to the public. Food trucks will open at 6 p.m. on the day of each event, and several downtown restaurants are within walking distance of the concert stage.
The concerts start at 7 p.m. Downtown Live is a family-friendly event for all ages. For more information, visit www.downtownlivestatesboro.com or follow the series on Facebook and Instagram at @StatesboroDowntownLiveConcertSeries.
