SEGA Weekly Traffic Interruption Advisory – Apr. 10-16, 2021

Georgia DOT continues essential road work throughout Southeast Georgia.  As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, April 10 through Friday, April 16. 

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling thru work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. 

Traffic interruptions are listed below by interstates, categories, and counties.

Interstate 95 Interruptions

I-95 over SR 40 (Exit 3) and Satilla RiverCamden County
Lane Closures for Bridge Maintenance 
Monday thru Thursday, 7pm to 7am  

Interstate 16 Interruptions

SR67 to I-95                                         Bulloch, Bryan, Effingham and Chatham Counties
Lane closures for slab repair and replacement  
Monday thru Saturday: 
From Milepost 126 to 142 East and West Bound, from 6am to 7pm  
From Milepost 142 to 157 East Bound, from 8pm to 6am

Near Stilson-Leefield Rd
Road closure for the bridge replacement project 
Expected reopening:  May 2021 
Detour Route:  Rough Rider Rd, Stilson-Leefield Rd

Continuous inside lane closures for median and road work

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling thru work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit, or download the Georgia 511 app. Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work, while following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus, as are most state DOTs in the U.S.
