Mr. Charles Robert Dewald age 77, passed away and joined his savior, Monday January 22, 2024, at Heritage Inn Health and Rehab. He was a native of Muskegon, Michigan and lived in Statesboro since December 2022. Charles was born December 28,1946, to Harold and Mary Helen Dewald. He worked and retired from Ford Motor Company. Charles was an avid Detroit Sports fan. He enjoyed golfing. Charles is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Beth Leonard.
Survivors include his sons, Brian Dewald(Amy) of Statesboro, Georgia, Charles Dewald of Minnesota, Andrew Dewald of Michigan; his grandchildren; Madeline, Evan, Grae, Gavin, Dominic and Jillian; the mother of his children, Freida Glass of Michigan; his siblings, Judy Snuffer (Paul) of Minnesota, James “Jim” Dewald, Sandra Drougal ( Ed) of Michigan, Betty Tomorsky (Dennis) of Wisconsin and Roz Dewald (Tony) Dall of Nebraska.
