Mr. Gerrald Mixon

Mr. Gerrald Mixon, age 66, died on Sunday, January 7th 2024 at his home in Statesboro, GA. Gerrald was born on March 2nd 1957 in Savannah, GA. He was raised in Savannah and later moved to Portal, GA where he attended Portal High School. He graduated in 1975 as Salutatorian and then attended Brewton Parker and Middle Georgia College. Gerrald owned and operated Century Concrete in Lawrenceville, GA for several years and later worked as an accountant. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and time with his friends and family. Gerrald was preceded in death by his parents, Denver Ceaborn Mixon and Leona Branson Mixon. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Mixon, his two sons, Zachary Mixon and Conner Mixon, two grandchildren, Wyatt and Kiersten, and his siblings, Alethia Mixon Ellis, Gary (Pam) Mixon, and Greg (Dana) Mixon, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 12:00 until 1:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Leland Jeffers officiating, assisted by John Woodcock. Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory of Statesboro is in charge of arrangements.
