Mr. Herbert “Jack” Mikell, Jr, age 73 passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday November 30, 2023. He was a native of Bulloch County where he attended public school as well as the High Hope Center. He was a former employee of Applebee’s.
He is survived by his siblings, Pearl Royal, Orlando, FL and Deidra Royal, Savannah, GA;, William Royal and Alvin (Laura) Royal both of Orlando, FL; nieces and nephews, Robert Mikell, Memphis, TN, Vera Mikell (Ronnie) Mercer, Sebrina (James) Mincey and James (Angela) Mikell all of Statesboro, Keenan Green, Shakera Green and Chanell Royal both of Orlando, FL; a sister-in-law Terrence Mikell, Statesboro; special friend Gail Burns, Statesboro and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of James R. Barnes Mortuary with the Reverend Germaine Williams, eulogist. The final resting place for Mr. Mikell will be in Eastside Cemetery.
A walk through visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
