Meet the Contestants: Miss East Georgia College

The 2021 Miss East Georgia State College Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, April 10 at 6 p.m. in the Luck F. Gambrell Center Auditorium. For safety concerns and social distancing guidelines, only family members submitted to the attendees list by the contestants will be allowed in the event. The community is invited to watch the pageant on the EGSC YouTube page. The pageant will be livestreamed using that platform.

Six contestants will compete for the crown in the categories of interview, on stage question, casual wear and evening gown. The theme for this year’s scholarship pageant is “Secret Garden.”

Meet the contestants:

Anita Cerpovicz is from Statesboro, Ga. She is the 20-year-old daughter of Paul Cerpovicz and Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz. Her platform is education.

Taylor Frye is the 19-year-old daughter of Jerry and Terri Frye of Kathleen, Ga. Her platform is advocating for those with disabilities.

Grace Gardener is from Waynesboro, Ga. She is the 19-year-old daughter of Lee Gardner and Shanna Gardner. Grace’s platform is “Build the Bridge.”

Diana Hernandez is the 21-year-old daughter of Carlos Hernandez and Arcenia Bello. She is from Glennville, Ga. Diana’s platform that she will be promoting is “Start at Home.”

Raven Mickens is from Lincolnton, Ga. She is the 18-year-old daughter of Rodney and Valerie Mickens. Her platform is “Raven’s Community Care: Feed the Homeless.”

Kaylee Stokes is from Effingham, Ga. She is the 19-year-old daughter of Linda and Travis Stokes. Kaylee will be promoting special education as her platform.

Miss EGSC 2019 Kathryn Cox will share memories of her year during the event. Special entertainment will be provided by All Star Dance Academy.
The pageant is hosted by EGSC’s Student Government Association. EGSC, SGA and the contestants ask that the community tune in to the livestream April 10 to show their support!
