The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two inmates who escaped from the county jail on Monday.
Authorities say that on Monday, October 10, 2022, at approximately 2:00 p.m. two inmates escaped from recreation yard at the Tattnall County Jail.
The Inmates are identified as:
- John Herbert Mincey – 30 years old, 5’9″, 180 pounds, Black/ Male of 294 Brumby Avenue, Reidsville, GA and
- Meahki Asahmad Carter – 18 years old, 5’10”, 140 pounds, Black/Male, of 128 Collins Street, Reidsville, GA.
One was wearing orange jail jumpsuit and the other had on white boxers and a white t-shirt.
Mincey was being held on Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, and Terroristic Threats charges as well as a Probation Violation.
Carter was being held for Multiple Counts of Entering Auto, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime.
