3 injured after car vs. train crash on McCall Road in Rincon

Three people were injured after a car versus train crash in Rincon.

Deputies were called out to McCall Road, near Blandford Elementary, a little after 8 a.m. Monday.

Preliminary information indicates the driver of the vehicle failed to yield to the slow-moving train that was conducting a track inspection when the crash occurred.

McCall Road was shut down for over an hour while emergency crews worked the scene. It has since reopened.

The 45-year-old female driver was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

The two other passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
