Senate Local Option Sales Tax Study Committee to Hold Second Meeting in Savannah

ATLANTA (October 13, 2023) | On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the Senate Local Option Sales Tax Study Committee (LOST), Chaired by Senator Derek Mallow (D – Savannah), will conduct its second meeting at 2 p.m. at the Georgia Coastal Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Sponsored by Sen. Mallow, Senate Resolution 147 established the LOST Committee during the 2023 Georgia Legislative Session. The committee’s objective is to examine issues regarding the impact of sales tax agreements on local politics.
