Many travelers are drawn to popular spots like Aspen’s famous ski slopes, Hawaii’s sun-drenched shores, or the mesmerizing Northern Lights in Fairbanks, Alaska. Yet, America’s vast expanse is brimming with lesser-known wonders. These hidden gems often remain unnoticed, overshadowed by the allure of iconic destinations or waiting to be uncovered by the masses.

Take Atmore, Alabama, for example. Beyond its casinos, it is home to the Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve — a paradise for nature lovers — and the historic Atmore Renaissance Faire. Similarly, Nevada’s Black Rock Desert is known primarily for the Burning Man festival. But come winter, it reveals an incredible landscape of pristine beauty.

By surveying 3,000 experienced travelers, they hoped to encourage others to explore beyond the usual and experience the diverse beauty America holds.
