Somersall, Bisseck, Gottlieb & Hampton All Eligible For First Match of 2021
South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 has added four players to its 2021 USL League Two roster ahead of its home opener against the Southern Soccer Academy Kings at 7 p.m. ET on May 11 from Erk Russell Park. Tyler Bisseck, Brittain Gottlieb, Grant Hampton and Raheem Somersall will be available for selection for tonight’s match.
In 2019 and 2020, Somersall made 16 starts for FC Tucson and recorded one shot on target and three key passes. Defensively, the midfielder made 17 interceptions and two clearances.
TFC Academy’s Bisseck, Gottlieb and Hampton will all also join the TFC 2 game-day roster.
The 14-match League Two season will spread across 10 weeks of regular season play beginning May 11. This pre-professional league will offer players the chance to hone in on crucial technical and tactical skills before making the leap to the professional level. Coach Morris hopes to create an environment for young guys to grow as players, as well as be recruited by the Tormenta FC’s League One team. Since beginning play in 2016, TFC 2 has helped nearly 50 players achieve their professional dreams.
