Bulloch Solutions will soon open its doors at the new headquarters on Buckhead Drive and while the grand reveal will be something to write home about, so is the elbow grease building up the structure.
Bulloch Solutions stands to open the doors of its new 18,000 square foot facility in just a few short weeks. The goal for the company that has adapted tremendously over the last two decades is to demonstrate the transition from Bulloch Telephone to a more expansive Bulloch Solutions. The method? A Technology Center hub focused on one thing: improving the customer experience.Â
The New Spot
Planted between Farmers & Merchants Bank and El Sombrero in Statesboro, the new spot will offer more services than the longtime home on Northside Drive, where customers, for years, have traveled to initiate service and pay monthly bills. While the Northside Drive location isn’t closing, the Technology Center will offer customers a centralized place for all-things Bulloch Solutions – including telephone, internet, and alarm services, guidance oriented customer service representatives, a number of products for purchase and trade-in, a team capable of repairing the equipment, and an interactive Smart Home experience for testing all of the latest gadgets. Essentially, every component one could imagine acquiring for wall-to-wall Wi-Fi at home or at work.
Keeping in line with the mantra that dates back more than 60 years — connecting the community in Bulloch County – the technological advances are coming to fruition thanks to local vendors and contractors.
Locally-Sourced VendorsÂ
Among the ornate provisions inside the new building:
- Blackened-steel barn doors, back splashes, and other metal accessories from Hawk Construction;
- a smart shower valve body set to be featured in the Smart Home simulator was donated by Statesboro Winnelson Co., a local plumbing supplier;
- Warren Clements of Clements Engineering and along with Ogeechee Heating & Air engineered an energy efficient heating and air system with ionizing plasma filters, which kill first strain COVID-19 particles, as well as those of the flu and common cold;
- All of the tile work and flooring is from Contractor Wholesales Flooring;
- Steelcase branded office furniture from McWaters in Savannah,
- Scattered among the fresh landscaping is locally crafted rock from Statesboro-owned ‘Boro Recycling, which specializes in repurposing plastics and glass as sustainable products;
- Whitfield Sign Co. is headlining project to install the sign to be erected near the road and the sign to be attached to the building.
The member-owned co-op will also situate 16 offices for various executives and management employees, plus a handful of work stations and a conference room. Upstairs, Capstone Benefits and the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce will also find their new homes.
The transition from a telephone cooperative to a broad spectrum local service provider has not been a quick one, but Bulloch Solutions continues to add to what it offers customers. Gone are the days of mere telephone services. The lengthy list of facilitations now includes broadband internet, TV installation, home automation (which includes video doorbells, lighting control, smart thermostats and much more), security and monitoring, network design and maintenance, whole home audio & video conferencing, new or refurbished computer construction, and an equipment repair shop.
Bulloch Solutions plans to host an open house in the coming weeks for current and prospective customers to visit the new site.
