2 Stilson Elementary Students Win Young Authors Contest

Twelve students have been selected as Bulloch County Schools’ grade-level Young Georgia Authors winners and will now advance to region competition. Among those winners are two superstars from Stilson Elementary School!

Kenadie Knight won the contest for 1st grade and Kinleigh McBrayer won for 2nd grade.

The school district received 65 entries this year from across each of the system’s 15 schools.

School district educators judged the local level competition. Students are not given a writing prompt, so judges evaluate entries based on expression of ideas, language use, perspective and voice.
