The Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation announced not too long ago that it planned a revamped and renewed 2021 Eagle Club Tour. Georgia Southern Athletics will travel to 18 different cities in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida with coaches and athletics staff to engage with the many members of Eagle Nation!
This is from a press release from Georgia Southern University.
We’ve missed having full houses and packed tailgating lots. We’ve missed listening to your stories and getting to know you. But that’s all changing this spring with director of athletics Jared Benko putting an emphasis on the importance of getting back to our roots. Getting involved in communities and building face-to-face relationships with everyone who makes it possible for student-athletes to compete is one of the great parts of our business and these events provide an opportunity for Eagle Nation to come together.Â
“The reintroduction of Eagle Club meetings is a 2021 initiative that I am really excited about!” said Georgia Southern Athletic Director, Jared Benko. “In my first few months in this role, I routinely heard stories about Eagle Club meetings and how fun and impactful they were. I have also had the pleasure of hearing many stories from Frank Hook and I can’t help but flash back in time and see images of him, Rick Mandes and Coach Erk Russell piling into a car to head out to Eagle Club events all across the state. My staff and I have made it a priority to reach out to and visit with as many loyal supporters, alumni and donors as we can, and the introduction of these meetings is a critical next step for us. We have the best fans in the country and we look forward to hitting the road this spring to visit with Eagle Nation!”
Beginning March 23, the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation will begin the Eagle Club Tour in Emanuel County and visit 17 other locations through the end of May. Full event locations and details will be available soon on ticket pages which can be found at GSEagles.com/EagleClubTour.
So check your calendar and see when the tour is rolling through your area. Join us as Jared, members of the athletic coaching staff and the Athletic Foundation give first-hand updates on Georgia Southern’s programs, facilities and the bright future of Eagle Athletics.
