Upon making contact with the complainant, Laurie Jewell, she stated that she received a message from her ex-boyfriend, Donald Lindsey, with whom she has had previous problems and has had removed from her home by the Sheriff's Office. Ms. Jewell mentioned that Mr. Lindsey claimed to have seen her that day and stated that he missed her. However, Ms. Jewell clarified that there was no way Mr. Lindsey could have seen her, as she had not left her home at all that day. Ms. Jewell reported that after blocking the number from which Mr. Lindsey had texted her, she received a threatening message from an unknown number. In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots. The law also barred law enforcement agencies from releasing mug shots to sites that charge a fee. As a result of the changes, a photo may be removed in some instances. To read the exemptions or to request removal from The Georgia Virtue, visit the ‘Contact‘ tab. Please read the full explanation before submitting a request for removal.
