- HEADLIGHT REQUIREMENTS40-8-22
On the listed date and time I conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for headight requirements and reckless driving. Upon making contact with the driver it was determined that she was unable to identify herself, unable to provide proof of insurance, and had a child in a car seat unrestrained with an expired tag. After attempting to figure out all of this info the driver stated that she wanted to provide a breath sample in a PBT and gave a sample at 0.126. The driver continued to be incooperative and was placed under arrest for the listed charges. A family member arrived to take possession of the vehicle and the child. Citations were issued for all charges at the jail.
In 2013, a new law took effect in Georgia prohibiting commercial sites from charging fees to remove inaccurate mug shots. The law also barred law enforcement agencies from releasing mug shots to sites that charge a fee. As a result of the changes, a photo may be removed in some instances.
