SPD Searching for 17-Year-Old in St. Charles Place Apartments Shooting Investigation

The Statesboro Police Department is searching for a 17-year-old in connection with the shots fired investigation initiated on July 2nd.

According to a press release:

On July 2nd, 2026 at 7:54 p.m. SPD officers were dispatched to St. Charles Place Apartments in the 200 block of Lanier Drive for a call of shots fired at that location. Upon their arrival, officers located no injured persons but did observe property damage caused by gunfire. Detectives responded to process the scene and conduct the criminal investigation. SPD officers were assisted on scene by deputies with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office and officers of the Georgia Southern University Police Department.

Detectives have issued warrants for 17-year-old Levi River Williams on charges of Aggravated Assault and Criminal Damage to Property. He is currently being sought by law enforcement.
