K9 Officer Mono Retires from Statesboro Police Department

A familiar face within the Statesboro Police Department hung up his badge Tuesday, marking the last day of service to the community.

K9 Officer Mono retired from Statesboro PD after 6 years of service to the agency. Mono worked as a Narcotic Detection Dog alongside Advanced Patrol Officer Brice Scott.

During his tenure, Mono was responsible for 272 arrests for drug-related crimes, of which 118 of them were felonies.

Mono now heads to the house for some rest and relaxation with his handler, APO Scott, who is still actively employed with SPD.
