Carr Says He’ll Seek Another Term as Attorney General

Georgia Attorney Chris Carr said this week that he plans to seek another four-year term in office.

In a campaign re-election announcement, Carr pledged “to continue the fight to protect Georgians, uphold the rule of law, defend our Constitutional freedoms and push back against federal overreach.”

Carr was appointed to the position by Governor Nathan Deal in 2016 after working for Senator Johnny Isakson. At the time of his appointment, Carr had never tried a case in a courtroom and had only recently become an active member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Carr’s campaign will focus on his “push to protect Georgians from human trafficking, gangs, elder abuse, scams, cyber crimes and the opioid crisis.” He also cited the defund the police movements taking hold around the country and his continued partnerships with law enforcement.

“I am running for re-election as Georgia’s Attorney General to build on our proven record of protecting Georgians’ lives and livelihoods so that Georgia can continue to be the best state in the nation to live, work and raise a family,” Carr said in a press release earlier this week. “I am proud of our results in going after criminals who prey on our most vulnerable with human trafficking, gang activity, scams, and elder abuse. I took an oath to uphold our laws and that is exactly what I have done.”

“At the root of every action I take, I am working to protect the very freedoms that make our country great. I want to ensure that we live in a nation where our freedoms are not compromised, where the rule of law is respected and where values mean something,” Carr said.

Two Democratic candidates have already announced their candidacy in hopes of taking on Carr in the event that he has no Republican opposition. State Senator Jen Jordan announced last month following a launch of a campaign by Charlie Bailey, who narrowly lost to Carr in 2018 with 48.7% of the vote.

Raffensperger Draws 2 Primary Challengers for 2022

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has drawn two Republican challengers for the 2022 election.

Alpharetta Attorney David Belle Isle, who ran in the GOP Primary in 2018 and ultimately lost in the GOP runoff to Raffensperger announced his candidacy Monday morning.

From his announcement:

Brad Raffensperger single-handedly bargained away our election integrity and skewered the credibility of our mail-in ballots. Then, he looked us in the eye and told us that the 2020 election was the safest, most secure election in our history. It was not, and it’s time to hold the Secretary of State accountable.

The Compromise Settlement Agreement signed by Raffensperger and Stacy Abrams is the biggest obstacle to voter confidence and election integrity in Georgia. The Compromise makes it very difficult for counties to reject invalid mail-in ballots, which likely resulted in thousands of invalid ballots being fully counted in the recent election. The integrity of our State depends on the integrity of our elections.

As Georgia’s next Secretary of State, I will:

-Reject the Compromise Settlement Agreement
-Better secure the mail-in ballot process
-Work to clean up the voter rolls
-Call for a true, independent audit of Dominion

I will put fresh eyes on our entire election system, from top to bottom, with the goal of delivering fair and provable elections.

Congressman Jody Hice from Georgia’s 10th district announced his candidacy not long after Belle Isle with a campaign slogan of ‘Let’s Renew Integrity!’

Here’s what he said in his announcement:

Today, Congressman Jody Hice of Georgia’s 10th District announced he would challenge Brad Raffensperger for Secretary of State. Congressman Hice had the following to say about his campaign.

“Free and fair elections are the foundation of our country. What Brad Raffensperger did was create cracks in the integrity of our elections, which I wholeheartedly believe individuals took advantage of in 2020. Though I am encouraged to see the General Assembly taking it upon themselves to address some of the glaring issues in our elections, Georgia deserves a Secretary of State who will own the responsibilities of the office. If elected, I will instill confidence in our election process by upholding the Georgia Constitution, enforcing meaningful reform and aggressively pursuing those who commit voter fraud.

Every Georgian, in fact every American, has the right to be outraged by the actions and, simultaneously, the inaction of our Secretary of State. Our state deserves a leader who steers clear of scandals and focuses on the incredibly important duties of the office. If elected, my top priority will be ensuring every Georgian’s legally cast ballot is counted in future elections. I am excited about our campaign and I know together we can renew integrity!”

Over the weekend, Republicans around the state gathered at their county conventions for the purpose of nominating delegates to serve at the state convention later this year. Raffensperger made news when he was not selected to serve in the Party, as it is standard to peddling elected officials through the convention process as a sign of unity.

Movement Founded to ‘Stop Stacey’ in 2022

Conservatives are wasting no time preparing for the 2022 statewide elections in Georgia.

A political movement is being organized in Georgia to ‘Stop Stacey’ [Abrams] in 2022. The announcement was made Monday via press release from political strategists who assisted with the Loeffler campaign in November.

From the press release:

Today, Republican strategists announced the formation of Stop Stacey, an independent committee and political movement that will stand up to the left and prevent a complete left-wing takeover of Georgia – and America – in 2022. Stop Stacey is a national, grassroots organization of engaged conservatives who are committed to protecting our future from Stacey Abrams, her left-wing backers, and their radical, anti-American agenda. Stop Stacey will expose Abrams’ shady voter groups that undermine election integrity, unite and mobilize grassroots Republicans across the country, and protect the Constitution and conservative values by stopping her in 2022.

“After losing the White House and United States Senate in 2020, grassroots Republicans across Georgia and America are standing together to stop radical Stacey Abrams,” said Stop Stacey Senior Strategist Jeremy Brand. “Thanks to her socialist backers and billionaires like George Soros, Stacey Abrams has raised over $100 million to orchestrate a total takeover in the 2022 election. We will do whatever it takes to expose Stacey Abrams’ radical network, highlight her dangerous agenda, and ultimately defeat her – and her left-wing candidates – at the ballot box. There is no time to waste: We must stand up, fight back, and Stop Stacey.”
Stacey Abrams oversees a network of well-funded, shady organizations that are methodically undermining election laws and electing Democratic candidates:

  • Fair Fight, the voting organization Stacey Abrams founded in 2018 after losing a close gubernatorial election has raised $95 million in two years, boasting 550,000 donors.
  • New Georgia Project, a voter registration group founded by Abrams, is under investigation again by the Secretary of State’s office for attempting to register out-of-state voters for the January 5, 2020 Run-Off Election in Georgia.

Abrams is pushing for a total, radical takeover in Georgia and throughout America that includes:

Stacey Abrams is credited with flipping Georgia for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, then installed two radical, handpicked Senate candidates for Chuck Schumer. Barack Obama credited her “resilient, visionary leadership.” Howard Dean called Abrams the “Lebron James of American politics.” And Joe Biden said “nobody in America has done more” to help the Democrats win.

Now, Stacey Abrams is trying to claim total control of America—which is why it’s so critical for Republicans across Georgia and across the country to have a dedicated, well-funded outside organization to stop her.

The organization also has a website and social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
