CSX railroad crossing removal requires SR 25 Closure May 25 & 26

Georgia DOT announces a CSX road closure on SR 25 between Brampton Road and Nelson Avenue in Garden City for railroad crossing removal beginning 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 25 remaining in place until 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, weather permitting.
 
SR 25 will be closed to through traffic at this location and traffic rerouted to signed detour onto SR 21/Brampton Road, SR 21/Augusta Road and SR 307/Bourne Avenue. CSX crews will remove this rail crossing and rail crossing equipment.
 
Motorists will be able to access businesses, schools, and residences in the area up to work zone. The roadway will reopen early if the work is completed ahead of schedule or could possibly be closed longer if weather or other factors delay the work.
