Where’s My State Tax Refund?

The Georgia Department of Revenue says individuals should allowed 2-3 weeks or processing time before checking the refund status of their return.

What you’ll need
  • Social security number of taxpayer
  • Expected amount of the refund
Ways to check your status

When should I call?

Only if your refund status in the DOR Where’s My Refund application:

  • Hasn’t changed in more than 6 weeks
  • Tells you to contact the Department

DOR phone lines are typically busy this time of year. DOR call center representatives have the same information as the DOR Where’s My Refund application.
